Minutes from CWG meeting Tuesday 6th July 2010

1 ) Christine Rutherford Opened the meeting with an apology that due to personal commitments she would no longer be fronting the chair of the CWG.

2) Phil Brown Asked if we should go through the process of nominating a new chair. It was felt by the meeting attendees that we should explore the idea of a floating chair. Each meeting could have a volunteer chair to front the meeting. Max suggested that this was a good idea but that we would put it under review until January.

3) Phil Brown Asked for all the group to introduce each other for the benefit of the new faces joining the group.

Readings were then heard from –

–    That Guy gave us a short beat style poem, impressively done on the hoof.
–    Darren gave us a extract from his first book he is in the middle of writing
–    Chris Carter did some nonsense about pies in pubs.

Achievements

–    Ann Evans has completed her tenth book.
–    Chris Jarvis has had one article definitely published and is awaiting news on a second (both are produced in this Newsletter. )
