July Newsletter 2010

Dear Coventry Writers Group Members

Well…… excitement, shocks and drama. The July CWG meeting had it all.

Hope you have all had a fantastic month, with much writing accomplished. I have had a bit of a recent writing spurt and am deeply absorbed at the mo.

As you may or may not be aware our beloved Chair Christine Rutherford resigned from the centre seat this month. But a little more on that later on.

Laptops were brought to the meeting for an overview of WordPress performed by Tom Radford. The overview was accompanied by a very enlightening discussion on Blogging, so well done Tom.

We have a bit of a mixed and full bag with this month’s News Letter. With contributions from new dude “That Guy”, two articles from Chris Jarvis and a short piece of script writing software by yours truly. We also have a little contribution from Phil “Wyken Seagrave” Brown, in the form of a description of the Chairs responsibilities.

Another short section of minutes due to Tom’s presentation and a fair few readings…. but definitely one of the most exciting, upsetting, fun and shocking meetings. See you next time!

Chris Carter
